Yaaay!
Haray! Yesterday we cleaned out the rabbitry! As you know, it used to be a shop so half of my nice clean rabbitry was a jumbled miscellany of shop "stuff". Now there is only a few things left in there, but it is organized and it is CLEAN. Yeah! Thanks to Dad for helping me... there was a lot of heavy stuff and I couldn't have done it myself. :) It feels much roomier in there now and not so crampy and dusty. Ahh.... now I'm going to go scrub cages! I'll have to post pictures of the nice clean rabbitry soon. :)

Mickey
On Tuesday we went to visit Great Grandma Stella for her 90th birthday. Mickey got to come along too and Grandma just loved him. :) And Mickey loooooves to be cuddled, so I'm sure he had a good time too. ;) He is one friendly little bunny!

Dolly's Babies
Dolly's babies are doing super! The peanut only made it a couple days, but that was expected anyways, even though it was sad. The other three are doing great, all black banded! They are getting plump and a little fuzzy fur is appearing now.
When I went into the rabbitry on Saturday morning to do chores, there was Dolly sitting in her cage with a mouthful of fur! I was thrilled! I had always wanted to be at a bunny birth. :) I've been at goat, sheep, cat, chicken, etc., births, but never a bunny! She began pulling lots of fur out and in about 1 1/2-2 hours they were all born.

Babies!
Dolly kindled this morning! I was so excited, it was the first bunny birth I've ever seen. Although I guess I didn't really "see" much because she was in the nestbox. :) But I could hear squeaking (babies) and grunting (mom). I think there is four, including a peanut. I'm not totally sure though. I'll post pictures and an official count soon. :) They all do look correctly marked, though, so I'm thrilled! :) Good job Dolly! :)

Waiting...
Well, I'm waiting on Dolly to have her babies.... nothing so far. Sure hope she's bred! I have been really looking forward to this litter, so she better be! :)
All the other bunnies are doing great. Bella's litter is 8 weeks old now and are going to new homes. Hurry if you want one! :) Dolly's nameless baby might just have a name now. We're thinking about naming him Mickey. Don't ask me why, it just seemed to fit. :)
Things are coming together inside the rabbitry! Dad built me the great cage-holder, you know, and so now I'm really in the mood to get everything cleaned and organized and finished... NOW! :) But there's still quite a bit of work to be done before it's "perfect" so it will have to be a process. :) My rabbitry is in the barn in a room that used to be a shop, and so half of it is where my rabbits go, and the other half is "shop junk" that still needs to be cleaned out. I am really looking forward to doing that! :) My half of the shop is spick-and-span, but I can't wait for the other half to be, too. :) Even if I don't use it, I don't like the messy look. :) So that will be the next project. And then there's a list of other small things that need to be done, too.
Will keep you posted (literally!) :) on Dolly.

Thanks Dad :)
Yesterday Dad surprised me with this awesome bunny-cage-holder to put all my cages on! I'm so excited, it is absolutely beautiful and works SOOOOO nice!
All the cages fit on it perfectly. Chores will now be MUCH easier! I just love it. I'll post some better pictures of it sometime. Now I have a bug to re-clean everything, now that I re-organized it! It's like a totally new rabbitry in there. :)
The bunnies are all settled in. :)
Thanks Daddy! :)

Cleaning The Rabbitry
I have been deep-cleaning the rabbitry the last couple days. A lot of times I have to drag myself out there because I don't exactly feel like scrubbing cages :) but once I get going I can't stop! LOL :) It is sooooo rewarding seeing them hopping around in their SPARKLING cages! I love it! :)

Bunny Update
Sorry for not posting in a while! Summer is so busy! Everything is going well with the bunnies! Dolly is due next week! I hope she has babies and everything goes well. Bella's litter is growing quickly and eating me out of the rabbitry! ;) Here's the whole litter outside. :)
Dolly's baby is growing quickly and looking great. I'm tired of calling him "Dolly's baby" but I can't think of a good name for him! Anyways, he's adorable. :) I think he looks so much like Comic.
In the morning I leave his cage door open while I'm feeding him so he can run around and get some excersise. At first he couldn't jump out, but this morning he backed up, leaped forward and cleared it! We (Jonny was helping me do chores) got a good laugh out of that! It was hilarious! :)
Jonny loves "Puffball" as he calls him. As soon as we finish milking, it's off to the rabbitry to hold him! :) So cute. :)
It's been nice to have a break from the heat the last couple days, and I know the rabbits are enjoying it too.
So... I'll probably (hopefully!) be posting pictures of Dolly's litter soon! :)
