3 DAYS! *Parsley* *Pics of Roxie*

Wow... *not tomorrow but the next day!*  =D  The Minnesota State Convention is coming fast!  Can't wait, although I'm not sure how the buns will do... it seems that Zahara might be starting a molt too.... arg, fingers crossed!  And Mickey's coat isn't looking so great either. Gee, it seems like everyone is molting!  Regina and Chip just finished up their molts, Dolly is molting, Bella (who is visiting right now to get bred) is molting, ... they are ALL molting!  ;-(  Ick!  And Thumper's eye.... Trixi, you better be fine!  ;-)  LOL  At any rate it will be really fun no matter what the results.  ;-)
Parsley is my new favorite herb for the buns.  If you have a doe that doesn't want to get bred, try giving her a sprig of parsley every day.  By a week of this, she should be in heat.  It's worked like a charm every time for me!  Something I learned from another breeder.  And I tried to get a pic of my girls munching it this morning, but the camera died just as I was trying to get Haylie devouring her sprig.  ;-)

And... as I promised, some pictures of Roxie.  Love this little gal!

Have a great day everyone!  :)

4 DAYS! Big Cleaning Day....

Whew, yesterday I DEEP CLEANED the rabbitry.  I mean, scrubbed EVERY cage, both the 5-foot pans, cleaned out the pans and under the cages, re-arranged everything, organized.... and set a record of doing it all in 2 hours!  Thanks to my wonderful carrier - instead of having to do one cage at a time because I only have two pet carriers to put the buns in while I scrub their cage, I loaded up all the rabbits on the top stacker into the carrier and scrubbed all the cages at once, and then did the bottom stack the same way.  It was wonderful!  And everything is just sparkling clean in there... ahhhhh, love it.  ;-)  Enjoy the pics....

Excuse my un-organized shelf... that got organized this morning.  ;-)

Zahara... *sigh* she's so lovely!

Duchess had to get in on the fun!
I'll post some pictures of Roxie tomorrow... she's such a cutie!  AND, I know this is a *rabbit* blog, but I have to post some pictures of my half-Ragdoll kittens, too. They are ADORABLE!!!  :-)

Only 4 days.... SO EXCITED!

5 DAYS!

The Minnesota State Convention is only FIVE days away - this Saturday!!!  I am SO excited.  My (*awesome*) Dad helped me build a PERFECT 6-hole carrier last night!  LOVE it!

6 nice spacious holes, and a political sign for the lid (ran out of wire!).... which actually was a great idea!  Works great!

Don't you love that "fresh wire" look???  ;-)

I just had to put six of the buns going to the show in it to see how it looked - isn't that beautiful!?!?!?!  Oh man, I am getting SO excited now. :)

Haylie - going to the show to meet her future hubby.  ;-)

Mickey - can't wait to see how he does this time around!  His coat is in kind of bad condition right now, though, so we'll see....   :-(

Zahara - will be shown in the Sr. Doe class, and probably go home with a new owner.  Will miss this little gal so much!

Trixi - her first show!

Regina - going along to meet her new owner

Dolly - also going along in a pet carrier to meet her future hubby!

Chocolate Chip - going to go home with a new owner, I'll miss you too!

Here is Trixi again - I think she's *finally* coming out of the uglies-  whew!  Her ears are kinda long, but her body is looking nice, nice, and she's got a cute head too.  We'll see how she does.  I'm hoping she'll turn out just as nice as her mom, Hoppin' Hotot's Ruby.

And Thumper.... *croccodile tears* .... I've been watching a speck in his eye for several weeks now.  ='-(  Boo hoo.  He's so gorgeous but I think it's very likely he'll get DQ'd.... we were thinking it was just an injury and would heal, but at this point things look bleak. I'm going to bring him anyways and just see what the judge says.  :(

And ending on a happy note.... CC's babies, as cute as can be!

See ya Saturday!!!!!!  =-)

New Babies~Winter Breeding Schedule~Buns Leaving, Buns Coming :)

Long post title, I know!  :)  The latest exciting news - you guessed it, Chocolate Chip had her babies!  Right on time, three perfect little kits. :)  Two banded and a sport and they are doing great! Good job, CC!  I don't what happened to my pics of them - :( - so I'll have to take some new ones to post. :)
As far as my winter breeding schedule, so I think I have it figured out. :)  I'll be breeding three does the end of this month/beginning of October, and three or four does the end of December.  So I'll just be having two "baby booms" this winter, so will have a limited number of babies available.  Get on my contact list now if you want to be notified when they are ready!  So that's the plan for winter breeding so far.  Also on a sad note - three of my girls will be leaving me.  Regina, Chocolate Chip, and Zahara.  I love, love, love them all, but... some of them have to go to make room for a new doe I'm getting this month and the babies I want to keep.  I'm excited that they will be going to a lady to start her with her Dwarf Hotot herd, though!  They have all been wonderful does, there are just other lines I want to work on right now. :)  I also will be getting two does bred to a friend's buck at the MN State Convention (which, by the way, I think I am going to get to go to and I am SO EXCITED - will have to post about that later!) end of this month, and will be definitely keeping babies from those litters - I'm so excited about that!  Miss Roxie will also be going to a new home with Kate Kaiser pretty soon in trade for my lovely little doe Princess that I got from her a while back.  Roxie is still looking SO gorgeous! Unbelievably lovely. :-)
